Lines of the Week: Canadians in the NCAA

Canadians in the NCAA continue to represent their country in CB's 90th year.

Wumi Agunbiade (Pickering, ON) – Duquesne, Jr.

With 22 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and three blocks, Agunbiade led her Lady Dukes to a close 63-59 victory over George Washington. Of the game-high 13 boards, six of those came on the offensive end giving her team second-chance opportunities.

Marc Trasolini (Vancouver, B.C.) – Santa Clara, Sr.

In a 70-46 win over Portland on Thursday night, Trasolini scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. The senior also handed out two assists and blocked two shots.

Natalie Achonwa (Guelph, ON) – Notre Dame, Jr.

Achonwa had another big double-double in an 89-44 win over Providence, scoring 14 points and pulling in 12 rebounds in 20 minutes of play. Her Fighting Irish now sit at 18-1 on the season.

Kyle Wiltjer (Portland, OR) – Kentucky, Soph.

Kentucky's Kyle Wiltjer had a game-high 26 points in a win over Mississippi to help his team improve to 14-6. The 6-10 sophomore sank five three-pointers to go with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton, AB) – Utah, Jr.

On Friday, Plouffe had 24 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Stanford. She was efficient at drawing fouls and took advantage of her chances at the charity stripe going 9/11.

Jordan Bachynski (Calgary, AB.) – Arizona State, Jr.

An impressive line of 22 points (on 10/12 from the field), 15 rebounds (eight coming on the offensive end) and six blocks from Bachynski gave the Sun Devils a big push for their 78-60 win over UCLA.
