Nbl Canada Weekly Canadian Player Report

/

Jan 23, 2012

Joey Haywood (Vancouver, BC) and the Halifax Rainmen had an incredibly busy schedule this past week, playing three games in four days. Haywood did not let the hectic schedule bother his game. He averaged 15.7 points, 2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. Amazingly, the 6’1 guard ranks third in the NBL Canada in Field Goal Percentage at 54.9%.

Kevin Francis (Toronto, ON) had another productive week for the Saint John Mill Rats. Francis helped the Mill Rats go undefeated this week, with victories against the Quebec Kebs and the Moncton Miracles. Francis averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game.

Yannick Anzuluni (Ottawa, ON) had a great week for the Quebec Kebs despite his team dropping a pair of games to the Halifax Rainmen and the Saint John Mill Rats. Anzuluni averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds (including a career-high 17 against Halifax), and 3.5 assists per game.

Tut Ruach (Toronto, ON) had a team-high 26 points in a January 20th loss to the Summerside Storm. Ruach finished the game with 26 points on 7-13 shooting from the field, dished out 9 assists and pulled down 2 rebounds. Ruach now ranks 6th in Assists Per Game in the NBL at 5.08.

Paul Campbell (Toronto, ON) continues to look like a great mid-season pickup for the Oshawa Power. Campbell scored 12 points on 6-8 shooting from the field, grabbed 4 rebounds and handed out 1 assist in a January 20th loss to the Summerside Storm.
