Daniel Mullings (Toronto, ON) Junior Guard- New Mexico State Aggies

Mullings has continued his breakout year for the Aggies. Last Friday, in 34 minutes of play against TX-Pan American, Mullings filled the box score with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and a steal. He was efficient on the night shooting 5 of 7 from the floor in the 78-61 win over the Broncs.

Nirra Fields (Montreal, QC) Sophomore Guard- UCLA Bruins

The Bruins have struggled of late, dropping their last two games. However in those two losses, Nirra Fields played very well, keeping UCLA in each game. On Friday, Fields posted 30 points and 5 rebounds in a close one against CAL. On Sunday, against a tough Stanford team, she had 24 points and 8 rebounds.  Although the Bruins season hasn’t turned out the way they’d hope so far, one bright spot to look forward to is the Montreal native and the continued growth in her game.

Chad Posthumus (Winnipeg, MB) Senior Center- Morehead State Eagles

Posthumus has been a force in the paint for the Eagles. He posted a monster double-double of 17 points and 18 rebounds in a thrilling 2-OT 90-88 win over Austin Peay on February 19th. In his following game, Posthumus posted 14 points and 9 rebounds in a loss against Murray State. The Winnipeg, MB native has been consistently producing for the Eagles and has no inclination of slowing down as they push towards the end of the season.

Lexie Der (Burnaby, BC) Sophomore Forward- Boise State Broncos

The Burnaby, BC native was very productive over her last two games this week. Der posted 20 points and 9 rebounds and kept the Broncos close for some time in a loss against Colorado State. Her following game, Der went for 19 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in a hard-fought 75-72 win over UNLV.

Khem Birch (Montreal, QC) Junior Forward- UNLV Rebels

Birch loves posting double-doubles this season, at least he has for the past week. He didn’t have amazing scoring nights but instead gave UNLV consistent scoring and rebounding. The Rebels suffered two losses in their last two games. Birch posted 11 points and 12 rebounds against New Mexico, and then versus Boise State, he scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a heart-breaking OT loss.

Ruth Hamblin (Houston, BC) Soph. Forward- Oregon State Beavers

Led by the Houston, BC native, the Oregon State Beavers have been on a tear of late, winning seven consecutive games and moving into a tie for third place in the Pac-12 conference. Hamblin had herself quite the weekend, going for 15 points and 15 rebounds on Friday against Washington State. She followed that performance with 18 points and 14 rebounds in a lob-sided win over Washington.
