Jamie Weisner (Clarkson, Washington) Junior Guard – Oregon State Beavers

Jamie has been an integral piece of the Oregon State Beavers’ season thus far. The junior guard with a silky-smooth jump shot helped lead her team to two victories over Washington State and Washington by averaging 25.5 PPG and 7.5 RPG while shooting 67% from the field. The Blonde Bomber stood out against the Huskies where she hit 6 threes en-route to a 26-point game to go along with 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. She hopes that her and her team can ride their hot streak into Friday night when they face Arizona on the road.

Ruth Hamblin (Houston, British Columbia) Junior Center – Oregon State Beavers

Ruth has played a huge role for the 9th-ranked Beavers. Her post play has been an essential component to Oregon State’s victories and her presence is constantly felt throughout each game. With wins against the Cougars and Huskies, Hamblin had a monster week averaging 25.0 PPG, 13.0 RPG and 5.5 BPG. Her best game of the year came this week when she flirted with a triple-double – 31 points, 16 rebounds and 7 blocks – helping the Beavers escape with a narrow 73-70 victory over Washington State. The Beavers go on an Arizona road trip this weekend, playing Arizona and Arizona State, respectively.

Cassandra Brown (Vernon, British Columbia) Senior Guard/Forward – Portland Pilots

The Vernon native, Brown, continues to play well as a savvy senior. She led her Pilots to two conference victories this week over Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine while averaging 26.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG and 1.5 BPG. She shined the brightest against Loyola Marymount when she netted 22 points, snatched 6 rebounds and swatted 2 shots while chipping in with a steal. Cassandra and the Pilots hope to continue their winning ways against Pacific University on Thursday night in California.

Olivier Hanlan (Aylmer, Quebec) Junior Shooting Guard – Boston College Eagles

Olivier Hanlan was very dynamic this past week against Harvard and Virginia. With a 1-1 record for the week (losing to Virginia), the Aylmer native averaged 17.5 PPG to go along with 7.0 APG and 3.0 RPG while shooting 100% from the free-throw line. His standout performance came in an overtime thriller between Boston College and Harvard where he scored 17 points, dished out 8 assists and grabbed 4 rebounds in a 64-57 win. Hanlan and the Eagles hope to grab a victory against Georgia Tech on Sunday.

Dyshawn Pierre (Whitby, Ontario) Junior Forward – Dayton Flyers

Dyshawn keeps on playing at a consistently high level and he is a huge reason why Dayton continues to win. As the Flyers went 2-0 this week, Dyshawn averaged a double-double – 13.0 PPG, 13.0 RPG and 4.0 APG. His standout game came against La Salle when he scored 16 points to go along with 14 rebounds, 3 assists and a block. Dyshawn and Dayton are playing solid basketball and hope to continue to do so on Saturday against Richmond.

Kyle Wiltjer (Portland, Oregon) Junior Forward – Gonzaga Bulldogs

A Wooden Award hopeful, Wiltjer, lead the Gonzaga Bulldogs to two conference wins this past week against Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. Kyle averaged 18.0 PPG with 6.0 RPG and 4.5 APG - shooting 60% from beyond the arc. The junior forward played a very well-rounded game against Pepperdine, netting 24 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and distributing 4 assists with a block and a steal. The 3rd-ranked Bulldogs hope to stick to their winning ways against Saint Mary’s this Thursday night in Spokane.
