EDMONTON, AB (July 6, 2018) - Canada Basketball announced Friday that due to combination of illness and injury amongst the Turkish team, Game 3 of the Edmonton Grads International Classic, originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been cancelled.

Tonight's game will continue as scheduled, however, both teams will be playing with reduced rosters as a result.  Tickets previously purchased for Saturday's game will be honoured tonight.

In lieu of Saturday's game, Canada will hold a scrimmage at the Saville Community Sports Centre.  Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 pm MDT and is free to the public.

Single-game ticket purchases for Saturday's game are eligible for a refund. In addition, fans who previously secured a three-game tournament pass can also apply for a refund for Saturday's game.

Ticket purchasers with questions may contact: ltaal@basketball.ca

The Edmonton Grads International Classic is named in honour of the women's basketball team who rose to fame en route to setting a North American record with the best winning percentage (96.2 percent) of all-time. The team won 502 of 522 official games and also claimed the first women's world basketball title in 1924.

Team Canada returns to Edmonton and the Saville Community Sports Centre for Phase 2 Training Camp from July 19-27, 2018.
