TORONTO, Ont. (Nov. 21, 2024) - Canada Basketball announced today the Senior Men’s National Team roster for their game tonight against the Dominican Republic as the second window of the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers continues.
The Senior Men’s National Team will continue its pursuit of qualifying for the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup 2025 when they face Dominican Republic tonight in Saskatoon, Sask. at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT, live on Sportsnet.
Canada will continue Qualifier action this weekend in Saskatoon as they battle with Mexico on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 3:00 pm ET / 12:00 pm PT, live on Sportsnet.

Canada is in Group C for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers along with the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Nicaragua. Canada currently holds a 2-0 record after recording a pair of wins against Nicaragua this past February.
If Canada goes undefeated, they will also need either the Dominican Republic or Mexico to go 0-2 this week in order to qualify for the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup 2025.
Canada hosted training camp this week in Saskatoon from Nov. 17-20 at Merlis Belsher Place on the University of Saskatchewan campus.
The 16 teams in the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup 2025 Qualifiers are in four groups of four teams each. The top three teams in each group (12 in total) will qualify for the FIBA Men’s AmeriCup 2025.
Canada is currently ranked fifth in the latest FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by Nike. The rankings were updated following the Men’s Basketball Tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
