Senior Women's National Team To Host Free Youth Clinic In Edmonton

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORONTO, ON (May 19, 2017)- Basketball Alberta and Canada Basketball are teaming up with the YMCA of Northern Alberta for a free youth clinic with the Senior Women's National Team (SWNT) at the Don Wheaton YMCA on Sunday. This special event for boys and girls between the ages of eight and 12 provides local youth the chance to interact with and learn from SWNT players and coaches.

Canada, currently sixth in the Nike FIBA World Ranking, is coming off a second-consecutive quarterfinals appearance at the Olympic Games and is the defending FIBA Americas champion. The Team is currently holding the first phase of its 2017 training camp at the Saville Community Sports Centre. More details on the team information and camp roster are available here.
