Basketball Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba are excited to announce the details the fourth annual ‘Super Coaches Clinic’ weekend scheduled for October 19-20 at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre.  The clinic will run in conjunction as the province wide ‘SAGE’ in-service day on Friday October 19 and is a recognized professional development event by the Manitoba Physical Education Teachers Association (MPETA).  Headlining this year’s event will be Rick Torbett of Atlanta, GA who is best known as the author of the ‘Better Basketball’ and ‘Read and React’ coaching series.  Joining Rick as one of the presenters will be one of the NBA’s top physical trainers in Allan Stein along with local coaches Kirby Schepp, Tanya McKay, Randy Kusano, Mike Raimbault, Dr. Glen Bergeron, Sheldon Reynolds and Ross Wedlake among others. In all, the clinic features 12 different presentations over the two days and features a wide range of topics for all levels of basketball. Register this fall for Manitoba’s premier basketball coaching event!
