Tammy Sutton-brown And Indiana Fever Win Wnba Championship

Tammy Sutton-Brown and the Indiana Fever were able to down the Minnesota Lynx 87-78 in game 4 of the WNBA Championship, to win the championship on home court yesterday.

The Markham, Ontario native finally captured her first title after 11 seasons in the WNBA. The 2-time WNBA All-Star started 1 game and saw action in 6 other games in the playoffs. In the playoffs, Sutton-Brown averaged 3.4 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Not only is Sutton-Brown a WNBA Champion and 2-time WNBA All-Star, but she represented Canada at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. During her time with the Canadian National Team, she averaged 11.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Sutton-Brown competed in 4 FIBA sanctioned tournaments (2006 World Championship, 2005 FIBA Americas, 2003 Pan-American Olympic Qualifying and the 2000 Olympics Games).

Tammy Sutton-Brown played collegiately at Rutgers University and was drafted 18th overall by the Charlotte Sting in the 2001 draft.
