TORONTO, ON (August 15, 2018) - The Raptors 905 officially announced Wednesday that two-time Canadian Olympian Tamara Tatham will be joining the 905 staff.

Tatham will be making history in her new position, as she joins the 905 staff as the first Canadian woman on a coaching staff of a pro men's league. Along with current Jr. NBA head coach Justin Alliman, Tatham will be one of two "mentor coaches" under Raptors 905 head coach Jama Mahlalela this upcoming season.

Tatham will be joining the 905 with a breadth of playing experience, highlighted by her tenure with the Canadian senior women's national team. Tatham represented Canada's women's national team at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games as well as at the 2010 and 2014 World Championships.

She also played for her country at the Pan American Games, reaching the semifinals in 2007 and winning gold in 2015. Tatham was also a member of the Canadian squad which captured a bronze medal at the 2011 FIBA Americas, a silver medal at the 2013 FIBA Americas, and a gold medal at the 2015 FIBA Americas.

Tatham will continue in her role as an assistant coach with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues following an incredible international career which concluded with a final season in Russia.

Tatham will both be joining the Raptors 905 with an incredibly deep understanding of the game while also making waves historically.
