U16 Men's National Team Advances to Fiba Americas Finals

TORONTO, ON -The U16 Men's National Team are heading to the gold medal game after defeating the Dominican Republic 95-49 in the semi-final round of the U16 FIBA Americas tournament in Bahia Blanca, Argentina.

"We had a job to do tonight and we did it. Now it's all about preparing for tomorrow night. We have a big challenge ahead of us tomorrow so we have to be focused, composed, and ready to compete for 40 minutes." said Head Coach David DeAveiro.

Rowan Barrett Jr. (Mississauga, ON) led Team Canada in scoring, dropping 17 points. Simisola Shittu (Burlington, ON) added a double-double, with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Dominican Republic's efforts were led by Alanzo Frink with 15 points. For a full box score, click here.  

Canada will now take on either the USA or Argentina in the gold medal game tomorrow. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. EST. The game will be streamed on Youtube.com/FIBA.
