U18 Women's National Team Announced Ahead Of Fiba U18 Women's Americas Championship 2018

TORONTO, ONT. (July 26, 2018) - Canada Basketball is pleased to announce the 12 athletes who will represent Canada at the upcoming FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship 2018.

Head Coach Claire Meadows (University of Saskatchewan) will be joined by assistants Ryan Thorne (McGill University) and Erin McAleenan (York University).

Prior to departing for Mexico City, Mexico to begin their quest for a gold medal in the FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship 2018, the U18 women's national team will play an exhibition game on Friday night prior to the Nike Crown League Finals.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 pm at Kerr Hall (Ryerson University).

A full list of athletes and coaches can be found below.  Training camp is closed to the public. Media are invited to post-practice scrums on the following dates:

Last summer, the team earned a bronze medal at the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup 2017 in Udine / Cividale Del Fruiuli, Italy.

Canada is currently ranked 4th worldwide in the FIBA World Ranking Presented by NIKE.
