U19 Men's National Team is Now 3-0 at Fiba World Championship, Beating Italy 78-54

Toronto, ON - Canada's U19 Men's National Team is now 3-0 at the the 2015 FIBA World Championship after beating Italy 78-54.

Canada went into the game after two consecutive victories in Greece, beating out Tunisia and Australia.

The game started off evenly matched at the outset, with Canada and Italy going shot-for-shot, ending the first quarter with both teams tied at 19-19.

Canada began picking up momentum in the second quarter, ending the first half with the team ahead by five points at 35-30, Justin Jackson pacing Canada with 11 points.

Canada started to run away with it in the third quarter, heading into the fourth at 58-41.

Italy began looking defeated in the fourth quarter. Canada dominated, finishing off the game ahead by over 20 points at 78-54.

Canada was led by Justin Jackson's with 16 points (7/11 FG), 7 rebounds. Jalen Poyser added 13 points (4/9 FG), Corey Johnson chipped in 12 points (3/7 FG), and Jadon Cohee added in 9 points (3/6 FG) respectively.

Head Coach Roy Rana reflected after the game:

"A very positive win for our U19 men. Our bench was an important factor and I'm proud of the attention and focus the boys gave towards executing the game plan."
