Canadian Swnt Takes On Croatia In Quarter-finals
With Canada placing second place in their group, Canada will be up against Croatia in the quarter-finals of the FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament on Friday, June 29, at 7:30 a.m. (EDT).
On the line for both teams is a berth into the 2012 London Olympics. The winner of the game will earn a berth, while the losing team will still have a chance, along with the three other losing teams in the quarter-finals. In order to qualify if you lose the quarter-final, you will need to win the next two games to earn the final berth into the 2012 London Olympics.
Canada will be looking for their first Olympic berth in basketball since the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
