Mar 12, 2012

As the NCAA March Madness begins, Canada has a strong contingent of players who will be participating in the March tournament. There will be 31 Canadians on 21 different division one NCAA basketball schools.

New Mexico State leads all teams in the tournament with five Canadians on their roster. Other schools with more than one Canadian include: LIU Brooklyn (3), St. Bonaventure (3) and Gonzaga (3).

In last year’s NCAA tournament there were 20 Canadians in the field including first round draft picks Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph (both played for Texas).
