Lines of the Week: Canadians in the NCAA

December 3-9 was a big week for Canadians south-of-the-border in the NCAA.

Wumi Agunbiade (Pickering, ON) – Duquesne, Jr.

Wumi powered Duquesne to a 69-38 W over Saint Francis with a dominant performance of 22 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 blocks.

Justin Edwards (Whitby, ON) – Maine, So.

Edwards had a big game, but Florida State still came out on top. Justin finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists in the losing effort.

Natalie Achonwa (Guelph, ON) – Notre Dame, Jr.

Natalie was effective and efficient in a win over Utah State. The Guelph product had 23 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal in just 21 minutes.

Anthony Bennett (Brampton, ON) – UNLV, Fr.

Bennett makes the LotW for the 2nd week in a row. The freshman led the Rebels with 25 points and 13 boards in a big win over California.

Kayla Alexander (Milton, ON) – Syracuse, Sr.

In a convincing win over Loyola, Kayla led Syracuse in points (20) and rebounds (13), while also registering 3 blocks and 1 steal.

Jordan Bachynski (Calgary, AB) – Arizona State, Jr.

A win against CS Northridge saw Bachynski notch 13 points on 5/6 shooting and 12 rebounds. The amazing part: he also came up with 12 monstrous blocks.
