Mar 7, 2013

These Canadians had a big week as the regular season came to a close.

Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton, AB) – Utah, Jr.

Despite another strong effort from Michelle, the Utes fell to Oregon State 54-46. Plouffe put up game-highs in points (27) and rebounds (12), but it wasn't enough to propel her team to the victory.

Daniel Mullings (Toronto, ON) – New Mexico State, So.

Daniel put his all-round game on display as his Aggies closed the season at home against Louisiana Tech. Mullings scored 23 points on .500 shooting to go along with 8 rebounds, 3 assists and four steals.

Micaella Riche (Gloucester, ON) – Minnesota, Jr.

Micaella powered her Gophers to a 59-53 win over the Indiana Hoosiers with double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds. Her commitment to the glass on both ends showed with a seven offensive and eight defensive split.

Myck Kabongo (Toronto, ON) – Texas, So.

Myck continues to impress in his return to the Longhorns. His line of 19 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals drove Texas to a 79-70 win. His responsibility handling the ball showed as he only committed a single turnover in 38 minutes.

Nirra Fields (Montreal, QC) – UCLA, Fr.

Nirra shot an efficient 62% from the floor in pacing her Bruins to a 68-57 road win over Arizona to close out the season. She rounded out her night with 8 rebounds and a block for good measure.

Jason Calliste (Scarborough, ON) – Detroit, Jr.

Jason scored 18 points shooting 7 of 12 from the floor, but his work distributing the ball was more impressive. He found his teammates 10 times to finish with the double-double in the Titan's 79-67 win.
