Western Canada: Open Id Session and Assessement Camp

Canada Basketball’s Men's High Performance Program will conduct a Western Canada Open ID Session and Assessment Camps  for U16 athletes born in 2003 and 2004 and for U19 athletes born in 2000 and 2001 on the weekend of November 17-18, 2018. This Camp will take place in preparation for next summer’s U16 FIBA Americas Championship and U19 FIBA World Cup.

Open ID Sessions - U16

The Open ID Session will take place at Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton, AB the morning of Saturday, November 17. The Open ID Session will be open to Canadian male athletes born in 2003 and 2004. To be considered as a national team athlete, a valid Canadian passport is required. This camp will be an integral part of our selection process for the U16 FIBA Americas Championship team. Athletes attending the Open ID session will be assessed by national team coaches for potential inclusion in the Western Canada Assessment Camp, for the U16 National Team, which will immediately follow the Open ID Session, on Saturday and Sunday, November 17th and 18th.

Western Canada Assessment Camp - U16 and U19

On the weekend of November 17-18, there will be a Western Canada Assessment Camp at Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton, AB. Canada Basketball’s Men's High Performance Program will send invitations to selected athletes to attend. Athletes selected from the Western Canada Assessment Camp will be invited to the Canada Basketball National Team Invitational Tryouts on Easter Weekend, in 2019 (April 19 – April 21).

NOVEMBER 17 – 18, 2018: Ross Sheppard High School - 13546 111 Ave, Edmonton, AB T5M 2P2

All athletes are responsible for their own gear, taping, and expenses to attend. There will be an athletic therapist onsite.

Athletes selected for the Western Canada Assessment Camps will receive a Canada Basketball shirt upon registration.

*Athletes attending the Open ID Session will be notified on site if they have been invited to attend the U16 Assessment Camp.
