TORONTO (Canada Basketball) - Most basketball fans will know the story of how their beloved sport came about and the fact that its inventor, a certain Dr James Naismith, hailed from Canada.

On Friday however, with the hosting of its seventh Canada Basketball Day, the country's national federation demonstrated that its eyes are set not on the past, but very much on the future.

The release of 'Canada's Game', a seven-minute documentary about the federation's youth team set-up, was among the highlights of the day's festivities.
