Open Tryout For U16 Men’s National Team Taking Place April 14-16 In Toronto, On
TORONTO, ON (March 21, 2017) - Canada Basketball’s Men’s High Performance Program will hold open tryouts for the 2017 U16 team from April 14-16 at Kerr Hall (Ryerson University) in Toronto, ON. Tryouts are open to Canadian athletes born in 2001 or 2002.
The tryout will aid in identifying athletes to be invited to training camp in June. Canada’s U16 team will participate in the 2017 FIBA Americas for men in Argentina from June 14-18 and look to qualify for the 2018 FIBA World Championships.
Athletes must registration by March 31st, 2017. All athletes are responsible for their own gear, taping, and expenses to attend. There will be an athletic therapist onsite.

REGISTRATION
There will be a registration fee of $30.00CAD which must be paid in full upon arrival at camp on April 14th.

Print and sign the insurance form (link below), and bring it with you on April 14th, to be handed in at registration. Parent/guardian signatures are required in order for athletes to participate.
ACCOMODATION INFO

This discounted rate will be available until 11:59 PM, March 30th on a first-come, first-serve basis. All athletes must be accompanied by an individual 19 years of age, or older, to check-in to a hotel in Toronto.
